here some picts from the novo doba festival a month ago in belgrade. it was a comic festival with workshops, exhibitions, music and a lot more. and as you can see, we had quite a good time. As we were told in Valjevo, he was waiting for us to come ..... but we were to late. Actualy we planned a date to meet with him on 24. march. But already 12. februar he died. ......... So we went anyway to Valjevo, to film and record some interviews with people that knew him. 2 quite intensed days. we managed to get some good material together.

Some first impressions from kosovo. still very chaotic here, but also nice. can also be very klaustrophobic. Today i already got an overdose of albanian flags and i think the next week its going to be the makedonian ;) my main work here i cant show, its going to be presented on 05. oktober this year in SKC Beograd, going then to Skopje, Pristina, and more towns in the ex-YU Countrys to come than 2012 to Germany ... hope to see you then somewhere around there, when its getting closer, i will send detailed information ..... greetings from Prishtinee !

After 11 years i was finaly again at a "Besonders Gala" in the house i am living once again here in Berlin. This event is in the meantime already a kind of legendary. A mixture of Cabaret, Satire, Akrobatik, Musik and so on put in a framestory which was started 15 years ago.

After a hot august in Pancevo, Serbia, we managed to get some 10 days at the seaside in and around Pula .... some friends from Berlin and from Pancevo also came. As all the last years we were sleeping in the hughe ex-military building "Rojc", which is now occupied by around 300 initiatives. We had luck and except one storm, the weather was wonderfull. I was shown 2 new beaches but also we have been at all the nice places i visit every year. 2 days ago we started our tour back and after 1230km we arrived yesterday evening in Berlin.

Again to long in Serbia .... my plan was to stay a week, but then i fucked my back up (again) and John Duncan arrived. So i took part in his workshop. I did not make many Fotos but i was recording audio. Today i will go to Zrenjanin to get my pictures and from tomorrow, theres another workshop lead by Meliss Pasut. On saturday there will be a Performance by John Duncan and Melissa Pasut in Belgrade and then i hope i will manage to go to Pula to enjoy some more seaside .... going back to Berlin in the beginning of September.

2 weeks on the road ... long time no internet ... now i am in Pancevo, Serbia for some more days. To much for one, so i split the picts ... we will start with Venice, were we stayed for some 3 days, thats already 2 weeks ago. Very nice town, but wrong time to go in summer and quite expensive. First day we were just floating in the touriststream, second day we made a little trip to Villa Pisani, the place were Hitler and Mussolini met the first time and the third day we bought an expensive ticket for the boats so we were able to reach the nicer parts of Venice ..... and in the end we got a fantastic spectacle with lightnings over Venice.

Some impressions of the FUSION Festival .... i worked there in the cooking-team for the staff (around 500 people to feed) ... and i was positivly surprised about the Festival (usualy i hate festivals) but everything was quite easy and nice ... during my free time i was wandering around the 20 stages taking picts .... saw jello biafra (didnt realy like) and some surprising bands .... as i worked also the week after the festival, i also took picts of the trashy aftermath ;) .... now back in berlin preparing to go to the adriatic sea !

Kreutzigerstrassenfest

So ... the Kreutzigerstrassenfest is over, lots of food, games, fun and so on. I did a lot of work for it last week, had an exhibition on the street and it was like a kind of school-meeting after 15 years. I met so many people i havent seen for a long time ... it took me hours to move the 200 meters from one end to the other. On sunday there was the musical highlight finaly. A french ex-wrestler playing chello and two drums ..... A lot of corpses lying around from the day before ;) ...... Friday i am leaving berlin for nearly a month. First i will help my father, then i will be in Belgrade for some days and then i am going to cook on the Fusion-festival ......... See u around or in July in Berlin again.

We have been on Stubnitz (www.stubnitz.com) for the friendshipparty last week. That was a party everybody ever worked or lived on the ship, was called to come. Still a lot of people werent able to come. But it was nice. Animal cops again playing for us and after Herbst in Peking ..... and in the end Das Absolute Vakuum made a nice short noise-set. There was also a No Style Fuckers Screenprinting ..... As you can see, we had fun ;)

Yeah ... we had some fun screen-printing alive on the streets at 1.May in Kreuzberg. Whole Kreuzberg was overcrowded by people, on every corner stages with bands playing ... Our place in Naunynstrasse was very nice and not that overcrowded, there was a performance-festival going on. The first performer was phantastic, dancing on a piece of steel, which was connected to a microphone. I stayed to see 3 more performers, but sadly they werent that good ... and as i didnt sleep much the night before i went home early ... when i left, going home, on my way, there were the first riots going on ...... today i was lying sick in my bed the whole day :(

The band played electro-pop, ixi was as good as always and the church is i think, the best chill-out space i know ;) here some impressions of an early morning walk, from the work as barkeeper, home. I never saw Friedrichshains streets that empty !

Czentrifuga exhibition opening

I had my exhibition opening on friday in CZenrifuga, at Mariannenplatz 21 in Kreuzberg. Together with a second fotografer, Dario Lehner, who exhibits double expousured fotos from his trips with the MS Hanseatic as Boardfotografer, i show fotos of my time living on the MS Stubnitz 1998-2002 and fotos of my travels trough jugoslavija 2002-2009.
It was a livingroom athmosphere with around 100 guests coming and going. Cheap food, drinks and a lot to look. Marko Maria and his friends (klaviatur, drums, guitar) made us a 45 minutes improvised jazz session. Many surprising guests from one of my other lifes. The picts will be exhibited until 3. or 4. of May. Then the Stubnitz-part goes to Rostock on the Stubnitz !

Thats now already some 2 weeks ago, my ride from Germany to Serbia. Depending to my obsession for Ex-Jugoslav monuments, i planed the trip to make as much as possible pictures of monuments. I slept the first night in my car at Podljubelj, where there is a monument for the people working at the tunel between now Slovenija and Austria. They came mainly from the Koncentration-camp Mauthausen. (pict one) After i was slowly driving to Ljubljana, passing-by the monument in Drasgozce, (pict two) and Kamnik (pict three). I arrived in Ljubljana early enough to finaly make picts of the main monuments there. (pict four and five) After sleeping at Ivos place in Ljubljana i went on the next day to reach Kamensko Bijeli Potoci. but already at the beginning i took the wrong road and accidentaly i found Baza 20 in Slovenija (pict six). I reached Kamensko at the last sunlight but ...... they removed the monument ........ so i went on the fastest way direction Serbia. Trough Bosnia i managed to go as far as Samac, where slept again in my car and at 7 in the morning i took picts of the Monument-house of Mitar Trifunovic Uco (pict seven) .. finaly i had another nice surprise when i found Donja Trnova near Bijeljina. Not only that there was a well preserved Partisan graveyard, but i also found the house, where the first issues of Oslobodjenje where printed during the 2 Worldwar (pict nine)

I had a crazy and quite hard tour last weekend. A 900 kilometers through Serbia. Friday i went to Vrbas in the north, there i had an exhibithion. (first pict, Grandma with Grandson in Vrbas) From there i went on Saturday to Golubac, which is a 5 hours ride. There was a meeting of Zdravo da ste. (second and third pict) and an impression of Golubac (fourth pict). On sunday i went on to Rajac, a little village near the Bulgarian border, which is known for its vine. Deda Peric and his Grandson were calling me to drive some vine to Belgrade (around 700 liters fifth pict). Deda Peric always loves to pose ;) (eight pict) and he showed me a foto of his girlfriend, hes 82, shes 80 %) (ninth pict) ...... now i am still recovering, heading back to Germany this weekend.

No Style Fuckers Balkantour

In September i brought some friends to Pančevo ... The No Style Fuckers from CZentrifuga, Berlin.
We went later on to Derventa, Bosnia, were i had a Job fotographing the Peace-day, from there on to the mountain Grmeć, between Sanski Most and Bosanski Petrovac, were we slept next to the Monument at Korčanica .... and then to Pula, were we were able to enjoy the beach for some more days ....... 28. of September we all went up to Berlin ... so the summer is definitly over !
